Kent National Trust volunteers are primarily a Conservation group run by its membership. We undertake a range of working days and activities at National Trust sites in Kent and East Sussex organised through the local National Trust  warden for the site.

Recent task sites have included Chartwell, Emmetts gardens, Ightham Mote, The Red House, Toys Hill, Owletts, Sissinghurst and Smallhythe Place.

Tasks take place on the 1st Sunday of each Month and we all rendezvous at the venue at 10:30 for most tasks.  Old clothes, sturdy boots, waterproofs, a packed lunch and a flask is required.  Tools and water are provided; the local hostelry has, on occasion, been visited at lunchtime!

Lifts are offered and car sharing is possible most weekends from different areas.

We also undertake some working weekends which, in the past, has included cliff erosion repair and fence building at Birling Gap on the Sussex coast.

Potential members (minimum age sixteen) are welcome to come along to events prior to making any decision regarding joining.
